Serene Parenteau
Program Assistant
Serene Parenteau is a program assistant with the Energy and Water programs.
Her roles include conducting research on clean energy and energy transition projects with close guidance with partner indigenous communities and organisations, as well as supporting the drafting of research outputs, and providing general support and communication.
Other roles include assisting in building and prioritising meaningful relationships with Treaty 3 individuals and communities with IISD-ELA. She has experience as a research assistant with the University of Winnipeg’s P2GS Program. In this role, Serene assisted in cross-dating tree-ring samples and identifying tree-ring anomalies.
She is currently working towards a bachelor's degree in environmental science from the University of Winnipeg.
